With the water conditions clear with a temperature in the low 80s, it is an absolute mixed bag of bites on Lake of Egypt right now.
You can get bit in 2 inches of water or 20 feet; the choice is yours. Personally, I can get a few bites doing most anything, but I struggle to get a bunch bites doing one single thing.
I can go froggin' with 40G Fins Situational Braid and get bit. I can crawl an Xcite Slim X paired with a 5/16 oz. Swagger Tungsten weight and a 3/0 Kitana Heavy Worm Hook through offshore structure and get bit just the same. Zorro spinnerbaits and topwater baits are producing too.
The key for me has been to not get too dedicated to a single area or technique. Changing up, moving around, and covering water get more bites.....for me at least.
Until next time, God Bless, good fishin', and tight lines to all!
