A Little About Me (but not too much)
Always Been a Fisherman and Always Will Be
I have been chasing some kind of fish for as long as I can remember; it all started with a cork, a drift worm, and a Zebco 33 at the ripe old age of 3 with my Dad. It was not too many years later that I was roll-casting a fly rod catching bedding bluegills. My love for fishing evolved into chasing bass around the local strip cuts behind my grandparents' house. My Mom would drop me off; I'd climb over the fence with a rod or two and a few baits with instructions to walk to my grandparents' house when I finished. At age 16, with a driver's license in hand, my high school fishing partner and I fished every spot we could either walk around or drop my jonboat into.
It has been a lot of years since those days, but I get that exact same feeling when my bait hits the water today as I did walking around that strip cut chunkin' and windin' those old Strike King spinnerbaits and Lunker Lure buzzbaits.
I have yet to hit the jackpot of turning my lifelong passion for bass fishing into a full time occupation, but the fire burns as hot as ever. I might be a weekend warrior, but I never stop trying to live that little boys dream each and every day.
I appreciate the gift of a love for fishing that God has blessed me with. I try to make the most out of it each and every day.
If I can reach one young person through the activities on this website and inspire him or her to pursue a dream, no matter what it might be, then I will consider my efforts a success.
Take advantage of every day that God gives you. Chase your dreams with a relentless pursuit. And, never quit!
God Bless and Good Fishin'
